Laganwater have been awarded a new contract worth over £1 million for the upgrade of 16 new Wastewater Treatment Works (WwTWs) across Northern Ireland. Laganwater will undertake the PC15 Year 2 Base Maintenance contract works on behalf of Northern Ireland Water. The treatment works to be upgraded are located majority in the western part of Northern Ireland mainly Co. Fermanagh, Co. Armagh and Co. Tyrone.
The WwTWs range in size from a small aeration process serving the small village of Dyan in Co. Tyrone to an aeration process serving the large town of Enniskillen in Co. Fermanagh.
The upgrade works package includes design, supply and installation of actuated sludge decant facilities, supply and installation of replacement pumps, level instrumentation and inlet screens with associated Local Control Panels. Laganwater will also provide the design, supply and installation of wash water booster sets as well as carrying out heat trace and lagging of various pipework.
